4 Types of Customer Reviews and Feedback and Their Uses

As a business owner, you must have heard a lot about reviews but know little or nothing about the many types of reviews that exist. If that sounds like you, you are in the right place as we will be discussing four types of online reviews and the purposes that they serve.

However, before getting into that, it is vital for you as a business owner to categorize the reviews that you get as that is the best way to make the most of them. You can only make decisions on the strength of reviews that you can categorize. Having said that, what are four types of customer reviews?

1.      Sales review

Sales review is the feedback gotten on sales that is made in a business. As a business owner, you have to know how well your sales are doing within a specified period which can be monthly, quarterly, or annually.

Sales review is used to boost and measure the productivity level of your business within that defined period. Let’s say your business sales review records fifty percent in the first quarter and sixty percent in the second quarter, your business can easily tell that there was a ten percent increase.

2.      Product review

Another type of review is product review that analyzes the quality of a particular product offered by a business. From this review, your business can tell what customers think about that product and the steps you need to take to ensure that the product serves them better.

Product review doesn’t point you in the direction of improvement alone, it also helps you to know where your business is getting right. The primary use of product review is to help you know the best ways you can serve your customers better.

3.      Brand quality review

In some reviews, you will discover that some people don’t just talk about the products alone, but also about the brand. Brand quality reviews help you to know what customers think about your brand which is very important if you have a brand that offers more than one product to its customers. Brand quality review helps you to identify new areas that your brand can consider providing products and services in that will meet the needs of customers.

4.      Customer satisfaction review

Whether a customer is getting a product from you or engaging in a particular service that your business offers, you want to know whether or not they are satisfied with what they are getting. Customer satisfaction review helps you to measure the degree of satisfaction customers get engaging with your product or services. Where this review doesn’t appear good to you, you have to find out why customers are not satisfied and what your business can do to rectify that.

While these four types of reviews that have been discussed here are not all that exist, they bear the major ones that every business owner that wants to scale up should take seriously. You have to ensure that your actions to drive sales are in line with the needs of customers, and that customer satisfaction is guaranteed at all times.
